“Digital Humanities in the Classroom: Empowering Student Scholars of Tomorrow”

This seminar will emphasize the hands-on learning of working with geospatial and network data, with special attention paid to its application to the classroom. The workshop seeks to prep teachers to instruct their students in various approaches to digital humanities in their classes.

The workshop will address:

  • how maps and networks are used in the humanities
  • how we can use maps and networks in the classroom
  • how to find, create, and use spatial data and network data
  • how to use a variety of mapping and network analysis tools
